Antipaxos


Antipaxos is about 3 nautical miles from Gaios(Paxos).Is a small island which belongs to Paxos complex. Has extension 5 km² and population 65 inhabitants approximately. It is famous for Voutoumi, Vrika and Mesovrika beaches which are listed among the ten best sandy beaches in the Mediterranean. It's also famous for the production of  high quality wine that is held in esteem and is not easily found. You can visit Antipaxos with one of the small boats that operate from Gaios. On a tour of the island you will impressed by the unique natural beauty of this verdant island, Agios Amilianos with its magnificent oaks, the spring of Kalogiris with cool and healthy spring water and the fine marble lighthouse of Antipaxos built in 1833.


Beaches 

Vrika
Coming from Paxos the first beach is Vrika. Deep in a small bay. The beach has white sand and pebbles,  the waters are swallow and the watercolour is turquoise. There two taverns and one beach bar.

Voutoumi
In the next bay is Voutoumi. It is a larger beach with the same features. Cypresses reach to the sand and this makes the flora looks magnificent. It's an unorganized beach with white pebbles.

Geography
 Although Antipaxos is a small island the tour is magical. It has many beautiful beaches. Starting from Agriapidia, which is located in Southeast coast, between Koules cape and Cavo Agrapidia there is Agios Aimilianos hill. Plaka cape, Fuki and Navara cape are southern. Then there is the Vodina cape, where small port Sarakiniko is located. The Kalamitsas bay and the Kontari cape are located Northern. Next to Kontari there is a cave, named Kalogiri where you can see seals. This place is under Coast Guard control. Further North are Alikes and Rodvani cape. The North coast of the island is very rough and steep.
